Short post this week: I was enthusiastically celebrating two friends’ marriage in New Orleans all weekend, and now my parents are in town. Enjoy!
Tonggul t’amhŏm (동굴 탐험), which means cave exploration, is a Korean kiddy term for nose picking.

Get it??
The words are of Sino-Korean (i.e. Chinese, from back in the day) origin, from 洞窟 (동굴, cave) and 探險 (탐험, exploration, expedition, journey). It’s the same hŏm (험) as words like kyŏnghŏm (경험), experience.
